Nominations announced for the 2021 Cartier Racing Awards
Nominations are today announced for the 31st annual Cartier Racing Awards, which will be presented at the Dorchester Hotel in London on the evening of this Wednesday, November 10.
Undefeated star miler Baaeed, international globetrotter Mishriff, St Mark’s Basilica, who was unbeaten in four G1 appearances this season, and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe hero Torquator Tasso are the four nominees for the main equine award, the Cartier Horse Of The Year.

“The 2021 European Flat season has delivered exceptional performances month after month. The nominees for the 31st Cartier Racing Awards are an outstanding group of racehorses and we are really looking forward to crowning this year’s winners at the Dorchester Hotel on November 10th.”
European horseracing's top awards are delivered through a tried and tested combination of points earned by horses in Pattern races (30%), combined at the end of season with the opinions of a panel of racing journalists/handicappers (35%) and votes from readers of Racing Post and The Daily Telegraph (35%).
The Cartier Racing Awards were established in 1991 to reward excellence in horseracing.
